At the Sherwood Park & District Chamber of Commerce’s December Luncheon & General Meeting members and dignitaries enjoyed a delicious turkey lunch, prepared by the Clarion Hotel & Conference Centre. Today’s luncheon was sponsored by GSS Integrated Energy.

We welcomed nine new Chamber Members at our meeting today: 360 Impressions Home Staging & Design, Alberta Information Management Corp., Concord Consulting Corporation, Dream Kitchens & Bath, Impact Occupational Health Solutions Inc, Joint Venture Pay – Merchant Services, The Leader’s Kitchen Inc., Reliant Insurance, and Think Insure.

Our keynote speaker was Greg Caldwell, Director, Development and Innovation at ATCO Pipelines & Liquids Global Business Unit. Abundant and affordable energy is the foundation of our civilization, and yet we are regularly hearing calls to curtail or eliminate the production of Canadian energy, and construction of new energy infrastructure as a response to climate change. Mr. Caldwell’s presentation explored how Alberta is ideally situated to become a world leader in producing low carbon hydrogen, and through this initiative, Albertans can strengthen our energy industry, achieve our climate targets, and take advantage of the growing demand for clean energy exports. Can hydrogen be the solution to help solve pipeline and political bottlenecks, and get Canadians working together on their energy future? You can view and download the presentation here.
